Non-Degree Admissions for Special Courses

Thank you for your interest in applying for non-matriculated (non-degree) status with the University at Houston Graduate College of Social Work (GCSW). The Courage in Clinical Practice and Leadership Course, co-taught by bestselling author and shame researcher, Dr. Brené Brown along with author, researcher, and senior faculty of The Daring Way, Dr. Ronda Dearing, is available to non-matriculating students enrolled in an MSW program outside the GCSW during the spring and/or summer semesters. To apply to take the course, please complete an ApplyWeb application (select Social Work NDO), and upload all transcripts demonstrating proof of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and a resume. We also need a transcript demonstrating current MSW enrollment. Instructions and links for the application are available under Apply Now within the website. Tuition and fees for the course can be estimated using the tuition calculator. Please note that non-Texas residents are charged a higher tuition rate. If you have any questions, or difficulty uploading documents please contact us at 713-743-8075 or gcswinfo@uh.edu.
