Non-Tenure Track Faculty Opening
The Graduate College of Social Work (GCSW) at the University of Houston is accepting applications for a full-time non-tenure track faculty member for AY 2013-2014. We are seeking an individual with experience and expertise in either Clinical Practice or Leadership, Administration and Advocacy; substantive area must include experience in social work trauma education and/or trauma practice (http://www.ncswtraumaed.org/).
Individuals appointed to clinical ranks will hold, at a minimum, the MSW degree from a CSWE accredited program and will be licensed as a social worker as defined by the Texas State Board of Social Work Examiners, or their equivalent. Strong preference will be given to applicants with experience in social work trauma education and/or practice. Applicants with experience in social work field education as a field instructor or classroom instructor are also preferred.
Faculty appointment will be commensurate with record and experience. Individuals at each clinical rank, assistant, associate, or professor, must have demonstrated experience and expertise congruent with the needs of the GCSW as it fulfills its multifaceted mission of professional social work education, knowledge dissemination, and service.

In addition, the GCSW houses the Office of Community Projects (OCP), the Child and Family center for Innovative Research, the Center for Health Equity Evaluation and Research, and the Office for Drug and Social Policy Research (ODSPR).
