Wallace and Women

MHMRA and HITS Theater are partnering to increase understanding about the effects of childhood trauma through a play called Women and Wallace. A series of interactive post-show discussions with the audience, cast and crew of the play will help shed light about this topic as different mental health professionals lead the conversation with expert insights. MHMRA’s Dr. Muzquiz will be speaking during the post-show discussion Saturday, April 20th at 2 p.m.

Women and Wallace is an engaging story of a young man's struggle with identity after losing his mother to suicide.  The play follows Wallace's relationships with different women over the course of his growing up and how his fears of abandonment manifest inside each. With a cast built entirely from the top 7-12 grade performers throughout Houston, these young people bring to life this story of loss, self-discovery and ultimately hope.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for students and can be purchased at or by calling HITS Theatre at 713-861-7408.
