Student Involvement at the State Level
Student Representatives
The Coordinating Board recognizes the benefits of inviting members of the higher education community to share their knowledge, perspective, and experience concerning diverse issues of policy and procedure. We also value open communication between students and the Coordinating Board on policy issues and decisions that affect student's lives. Student representation on the board and on advisory committees gives students a strong voice in higher education policy development.
Student Representative to the Board
Beginning June 1, 2014, and ending May 31, 2015, a student, nominated through the student government of each insitution and appointed by the Governor, serves on the Board as a non-voting representative. This is a great opportunity for a student to get a broad view of policy development. For qualifications and to apply see links below.
