Definitions
Constitution: The supreme governing document of the Student Government Association. It can only be amended by a majority vote of the University of Houston student body. Ratified in the Spring of 2006.
Rules of the Senate (Title I of the SGA Code): The rules by which meetings of the Student Government Association Senate are governed. The rules of the Senate may be amended by a majority vote of the SGA senate.
The Student Government Association Code (also known as by-laws): The more specific guidelines and laws of the Student Government Association. With the exception of Title I (Rules of the Senate), titles of the code require a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the Student Government Association Senate in order to be amended.
