On Wednesday, March 1st, 2017 student volunteers will join with alumni, faculty, administration and community supporters to travel to Austin, Texas to meet with legislators and their associates at the state Capitol. UH Day at the Capitol is an event that occurs every other year, with the goal of maximize funding for the University of Houston, and the University of Houston System. Interested in showing your Cougar pride and become a part of UH history by advocating some key points that will ultimately advance the Cougar Nation and the State of Texas? If so, the UH Student Government Association wants you to apply for this opportunity.

|6:30am||Registration, Continental Breakfast, and break up into teams to load bus. O’Quinn Great Hall at the UH Athletics/Alumni Center|
|7:30am||Buses depart for Austin|
|10:30am||Arrive at Capitol (briefings with teams on bus)|
|10:45am||Visit House and Senate Chambers|
|11:45am||Load buses for Scholz Garten|
|1:30pm||Head back to Capitol (Pep Band will lead group to the Capitol)|
|1:45pm||Gather on the Southside of the Capitol for group photo|
|2:15pm||Visit Houst and Senate Chambers|
|3:15pm||Second half of legislative office visits|
|4:15pm||Board buses on the East side of the Capitol to return to Houston|
|4:45pm||Buses depart Austin to return to the UH Athletics / Alumni Center|
|8:00pm||Buses arrive at the UH Athletics/Alumni Center|
