FY2007 Staff Council Accomplishments
The Staff Council has worked diligently to represent the interest of staff, to improve the campus community, and to make staff efforts that contribute to the success of the university more visible.
Staff Council accomplishments for the 2006-2007 Fiscal Year include the following:
- Worked with HR to review Performance Communication and Development Process and to develop a new merit process.
- Increased the Staff Tuition Scholarship from $750.00 a semester to $1,200.00 a semester.
- Extended the availability of the Staff Tuition Scholarship to the Summer semester.
- Awarded ten $500.00 Staff Council Scholarships.
- Formed the University System Staff Executive Council (USSEC) with the system staff councils.
- Held a Fall and Spring Forum featuring President Gogue and his cabinet.
- Planned and organized the tenth annual Cougar First Impressions (CFI).
- Continued to support and increase staff representation on numerous university committees.
- Distributed welcome cards to all new staff members.
- Held the annual Sock and Blanket drive.
Resolutions Approved
Staff Council passed six resolutions by unanimous vote at its March 2, 2005, meeting for President Gogue to approve.
