RAMP will remain open for submissions to the SEPTEMBER 2016 IRB full committee meetings. Deadlines for this meeting are as follows:

IRB 2 September 9, 2016 September 23, 2016

All new submissions to be considered by full committee following these meetings must be submitted through our new online compliance system, ICON, active as of September 6, 2016.

Protocols meeting criteria for exempt/expedited review should be submitted through ICON starting September 6, 2016.

The following protocols have been transitioned into ICON:

  • All currently active (IRB approved) human subjects protocols, including those previously submitted on paper. These protocols contain all historical documents and can be acted on for the submission of modifications, continuing reviews, and reportable new information.
  • All submissions that have been reviewed by the IRB and placed back under construction within the past year (since September 2015) to address a determination of "Modifications Needed to Secure Approval." These protocols can continue to be acted upon. Upload your answers to the stipulations to the SmartForm in a Word document, and update any responses in Smartform fields.
  • All protocols previously in an "Under Construction" status in RAMP that were drafted during or after September 2015 and have not yet been submitted to the IRB. These will be in a pre-submission status within ICON. 

The following protocols have NOT been transitioned into ICON:

  • New protocol submissions that have been reviewed by the IRB and received a Deferred decision. These protocols may still be responded to within RAMP within the next 90 days  (by November 30, 2016) and will be transferred to ICON once approved. After this date the submission will need to be restarted as a new submission within ICON.
  • Inactive/expired protocols, and draft protocols that started construction prior to September 2015. These items should be resubmitted as new protocols. They can be viewed in RAMP as read-only.
