Courtney Donica Hunt, Ph.D., assists UH faculty with research development. Her duties include identifying and announcing funding opportunities, particularly high-dollar, high-profile, multidisciplinary and multi-institutional opportunities; assisting with developing and organizing research teams and facilitating proposal development; and assisting with the review and editing of proposals.
Hunt is a graduate of Denison University (Ohio) earning a bachelor’s degree in biology/chemistry. She attended graduate school at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center earning a Ph.D. in neuroscience. She completed her post-doctoral work at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center where she researched mechanisms of pain and maintaining pain medicine effectiveness over time.
