Insanity at the Rec
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to actually enjoy your job? The staff at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center rarely worry about it. You may have been to the Rec to workout, play basketball, or even stopped in for one of the group fitness classes. The Rec’s fun and energetic atmosphere make it one of the most exciting places to work on campus.
In fact, Group Fitness Instructors may have the best job on campus. Imagine getting paid to do Zumba or Night Club Cardio or Yoga. Now imagine being one of the university’s first instructors for the popular Beachbody Fitness Insanity and PiYo classes that will begin in the Spring 2014 semester. If you’re still reading and want to become and instructor, you’re in luck! The Rec will be hosting licensing instructor trainings for both Beachbody Fitness formats this semester!
The Insanity instructor training will be held October 5th from 9 am to 5 pm and PiYo on October 6th from 9 am to 5pm in the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center. To attend the Insanity instructor training, go to www.insanitycertification.com and register for the UH training. To attend the PiYo instructor training, go to www.turbokickevents.com/piyo and enter the promo code ‘HOSTCLUB’ to receive the student discount. Spaces are limited so act fast if you are interested in becoming licensed to instruct the Insanity or PiYo formats. Check out the facebook page ‘University of Houston - Fitness programs’ or stop by the Rec and pick up a flyer for more information!
