New Classes for YOU
The Department of Campus Recreation understands that your New Year’s Resolution to live a healthy lifestyle is important, and we also know that you could use some help reaching your goals, so our Aquatics and Fitness programs have created three new classes for the spring 2014 semester.
Stand-up Paddleboard Yoga
The first is Stand-up Paddleboard Yoga, which meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30pm-7:30pm. This class will engage your core as you stabilize yourself and master poses on a standup paddleboard in the deep end of the pool. This is not your typical yoga session!
Aqua Boot Camp
The second new course is Aqua Boot Camp, which is a more intense class that features a series of cardio drills in the pool and bodyweight strength exercises will be combined for a one-of-a-kind water experience. Swimming experience is required so be sure to bring your goggles and come ready to get wet! Classes meet on Mondays from 4pm-5pm, and we have special morning classes on February 5th, March 5th and April 16th from 6:30am-7:30am.
Finally, we introduce Aqua Zumba, which takes an already rockin’ and calorie-burning activity and makes it even more fun while in the water. Classes will begin on Sunday, February 2nd from 6:30pm-7:30pm in the Natatorium. Just bring your swimsuit and a smile and be ready to get movin’!
