Permits
Students are urged to
register for parking
as soon as possible using our
new registration website.
All non-residential permits will be only be sold online and students will have the option of having their permit mailed or picking it up. Students that come to the Parking Services Counter at the Welcome Center will be asked to register for their permit at one the computer kiosks in the building.

Additional Information:
Student Commuter Permit -
Valid in student or
economy parking lots.
Not valid in restricted
Resident Hall parking
lots, or in
Faculty/Staff parking
lots before 5pm. Commuter
permits expire as
follows; Fall/Spring on May 31; Fall on December
31, Spring on May 31, and
Summer on August 15. (Note: Student Commuter permits are not available for the entire academic year. A summer permit is required for the Summer semester.)
Student Garage Permit – Vehicles displaying a
Student Garage permit
must park in the garage
weekdays from 7am to 5pm
on levels 3 through 5.
After 5pm and all day on
weekends, this permit
becomes valid in Student
and Economy lots. Annual
permits expire on August
31 of the academic year
issued and semester
permits expire as
follows: Fall, December
31; Spring, May 31; and
Summer, August 31 of the
academic year issued.
Garage permits will be
declared ‘sold-out’ once
all available student
spaces have been
purchased.
Economy Permits –
The economy lots tend to
be further out from the
center of campus and are
serviced by the UH
shuttles. Your permit is
valid in these lots at
all times: 12A, 12B, 8A,
9B, 9C, 4A, 20C and 16E. Expires on
August 31 of academic
year issued.
Economy Plus Permits – Allows you to park in
any non-restricted
parking lot weekdays
from 5 pm to 7 am and all
day on weekends and
university holidays
(defined by the closing
of university business
offices). Must park in
economy lots at all
other times. This permit
is always valid for one
full academic year and expires on
August 31 of academic
year issued.
Disabled Permit –
University employees
and/or students who have
a permanent or temporary disability
and require a University
disabled parking permit
must go to the Center
for Students with Disabilities (CSD), Room
100 of the CSD Building.
