East Garage Opening November 11, 2009
The East Parking Garage
is scheduled to open on
November 11, 2009.
Vehicles can begin
parking in the garage on
that date, however, work
will continue on the
access control system
and the garage will not
become fully operational
until January 1, 2010.
Beginning November 11
and the remainder of the
Fall 2009 semester any
vehicle displaying a
valid Student Fall or
Student Fall/Spring
parking permit will be
able to park in the East
Garage. Vehicles
displaying any other
type of UH parking
permit must park in the
area designated by that
permit type.
A waitlist has been
created on the Parking
and Transportation
Services web site for
students interested in
upgrading to the East
Parking Garage. Parking
will be assigned in the
order registered on the
waitlist. Any actively
enrolled student may
register on the waitlist
regardless of current
permit status. Upgrade
costs for the remainder
of the 2009-2010
academic year are as
follows:

for the Fall semester
East Garage parking
permits will be assigned
during the month of
November however, the
garage will remain open
to all Student Fall and
Fall/Spring permits for
the remainder of the
Fall semester. Those
assigned will receive a
notice when their permit
can be picked up. Pick
up dates begin after
November 15, 2009. The
East Garage Parking
Permit will also be
valid in the East Garage
and in any student
commuter or economy
parking lot for the
remainder of the Fall
2009 semester.
Beginning January 1,
2010, only East Garage
parking permits will be
able to access and park
in the garage. At that
date, East Garage Permit
access to other lots
ends.
