Citation Appeals
How to Appeal
Parking citations can be appealed
within 21 calendar days
of issuance. To
appeal your citation
visit our E-Parking Services web site at
https://eservices.parking.uh.edu and log in.
First time students and faculty/staff will be required to use their PeopleSoft number as a username and their last name (all lower case) as a password. You will then be asked to choose a new password to use in the future. Students, Faculty and Staff have the option of requesting an oral hearing. PTS will notify those wishing and oral appeal of the date, time and location of the hearing.
First time visitors that wish to appeal a citation will need to create a guest account before they can appeal the citation.
Appeal Process
Student appeals are
heard by the
Student
Traffic Court. The court is administered by the Dean of Students office in accordance with the Student Government Association Constitution and university regulations. Details
regarding the student
appeals procedure are in
Student Life Policies,
available from the
Office of the Vice
President for Student
Affairs and the Office
of the Dean of Students.
Faculty/Staff appeals
are heard by the
Faculty/Staff Traffic
Court. The court is composed of elected members from the Staff Council and Faculty Senate bodies.
Visitor appeals are
heard by PTS's Appeals
Coordinator who will
evaluate and determine
the appropriate
assessment based on the
University of Houston
policy. Visitors can not request an oral appeal but may request a meeting with the Appeals Coordinator to discuss the verdict.
Parking and Transportation will mail (or email) the court verdict to the address given during the appeal process.
