Joining a carpool is a
cost effective
alternative to driving
on your own. By sharing
the ride with people who
live near you, or along
your route to work, you
can split the cost of
gas and a parking
permit. Plus, utilize
the HOV lanes to bypass
traffic jams.
Join the
UH
Commuter Club
and register your
carpool to receive
additional benefits.
Registered carpools are
eligible for reserved
parking.

Additionally, we will
soon be launching a ride
matching service which
will allow users to
search for the option
that best fits their
schedule.
VANPOOLS
When you have more than
a car full, make it a
vanpool.
Vanpools are groups of
seven to fifteen people
who ride to and from
work each day in a
passenger van. Vanpools
generally cost about the
same each month as you
would pay for gasoline,
but save the wear and
tear on your personal
vehicle, allow you to
enjoy the benefits of
HOV lanes, and are
eligible for reserved
parking spaces.
Depending on the
vanpool, you can ride on
a full-time or part-time
basis.

vanpool to receive a
monthly subside to help
offset some of the cost
of vanpooling.

Joining the UH Commuter Club is simple. Simply complete the online application and a member of Parking and Transportation’s Customer Service Team will contact you with additional information. You must renew your membership prior to the start of each academic year.
