Optometry Tenure-Track Faculty Position

Description:

The University of Houston seeks an outstanding optometrist in the area of ophthalmic optics to join the Department of Clinical Sciences Faculty In its College of Optometry, which is internationally recognized for its clinical and research faculty (see http://www.opt.uh.edu/  for details).

The successful tenure-track applicant should possess an OD degree and have clinical and academic experience in the area. The candidate will be expected to participate in clinical and laboratory teaching and patient care activities within the Clinical Sciences Department and thus must be eligible for optometric licensure in the state of Texas. Didactic, laboratory or industry experience is highly desirable in the potential candidate. The successful candidate(s) will be expected to produce clinically relevant scholarship within the framework of patient care.

Salary and faculty rank will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications.
