Faculty Position - All Ranks - Thermal Sciences - Tenured or Tenure-Track
The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Houston (UH) seeks applicants for a tenured faculty position at the Associate or Full Professor level beginning Fall 2014 or later. Candidates may also be considered at Assistant Professor level.
Successful candidates are expected to establish an internationally recognized and externally funded research program in thermal sciences. Potential research areas include, but are not limited to: thermal issues in sustainable energy, with applications for energy transport in power devices and thermal management of energy systems, and heat/mass transfer in biomedical engineering and bio-nanotechnology with applications for regenerative medicine and medical device innovation (bio-sensing/diagnostics and bio-instrumentation).

Required qualifications include an earned doctorate in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. Successful applicants must demonstrate a strong record of scholarship and external funding, as well as a commitment to undergraduate and graduate teaching.
