Instructional Assistant Professor

Description:

The teachHOUSTON program in the College of Natural Science and Mathematics expects to hire an Instructional Assistant Professor beginning in the fall semester of 2014. This instructional position will also be expected to identify and maintain research and outreach alliances with potential collaborative partners in the area of STEM education. Additional responsibilities include writing funding proposals, conducting qualitative and quantitative research, coordinating outreach marketing efforts and teaching non-field based courses for undergraduate students who are pursuing secondary math and/or science certification.  A doctorate degree in Educational Psychology or a related field and a minimum of three years of substantial teaching and/or administrator experience in a public school environment are required.
