Assistant Professor - Behavioral Health - Tenure-Track

The Graduate College of Social Work (GCSW) at the University of Houston, one of only three Texas Carnegie Designated Tier One Public Research Universities, is accepting applications for three (3) full-time tenure track faculty members for AY 2015-2016 with expertise in Gerontology, Clinical Practice and Behavioral Health and ability to teach in either of two tracks: Clinical Practice or Macro Practice.

Qualifications:

Doctorate in Social Work or related field. Preference will be given to applicants with at least two years post-MSW full-time practice and research experience in behavioral health, the health sciences or the field of gerontology. Applicants with experience or demonstrated success in extramural research funding and scholarship in refereed publications are preferred. Persons from underrepresented groups are especially encouraged to apply.

About the College:

The University of Houston's GCSW is the only graduate social work program in the fourth largest city in America. As a graduate only College, the GCSW enrolls approximately 350 M.S.W. and 40 Ph.D. students each year.
