The University of Houston, College of Pharmacy invites qualified applicants to apply for a full-time, tenure track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Pharmacy Administration/Health Services Research in the Department of Clinical Sciences and Administration.
Areas of research interest sought are public health outcomes, evaluation of health policy, pharmacoeconomics or pharmacoepidemiology.
The successful candidate will join an active research, teaching and clinical program at the University of Houston, Texas Medical Center campus, one of the most prestigious affiliations of health care delivery systems and health education programs in the world. Candidates will join one of the largest graduate programs in pharmacy administration in the country, and contribute to our new PhD program in Pharmacy Administration beginning Fall 2009.
Faculty researchers also collaborate in the newly established Institute of Community Health, a multidisciplinary institute reflecting the disciplines of public health, pharmacy administration, biostatistics, and health services research.
Successful candidates will be expected to develop a sustainable independent research portfolio, teach in the undergraduate, professional and graduate programs, and provide a commitment of service to the University community. Candidates should possess an earned doctoral degree and have completed post-doctoral training programs or have equivalent experience in their research field of interest.
