Music Director, Opera - Clinical Assistant or Associate Professor - Non-Tenure-Track
Description:
Responsibilities: Serve as conductor/coach on up to four full opera productions a year (both traditional and contemporary repertoire). Active involvement in coaching recital/audition repertoire. Collaborate with supervisor of student vocal accompanists. Teach opera conducting and coaching. Teach lyric diction.
Qualifications: Documented professional experience with opera companies or in a university opera program, coaching and conducting both traditional and contemporary opera repertoire. Excellent keyboard skills. Expertise in lyric diction, including Italian, German, French and English. Ability to work in a positive, supportive, team environment. Master's or doctorate preferred as is university teaching experience.
DATE AVAILABLE: August 2010.
RANK AND SALARY: Clinical Professor - Assistant or Associate level (non tenure track); salary commensurate with experience. Full benefits included.
