Assistant Professor - Nano-Mechanics / Theoretical and Computational Material Science - Tenure-Track

Description:

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University Of Houston Cullen College Of Engineering is seeking a person for a tenure-track position in the broadly defined area of theoretical and computational material science at the level of Assistant Professor.

Candidates must have a Ph.D. in engineering or a related discipline in physical sciences and an ability to maintain an internationally recognized funded research program. A successful candidate will exhibit complimentary research skills and a willingness to work with the existing mechanics group and experimental materials scientists. The candidate must have a strong interest in teaching courses in mechanics at the undergraduate and graduate levels and develop new ones.
