Assistant or Associate Professor - International Relations - Tenure-Track
The Department of Political Science at the University of Houston invites applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor position in International Relations with a focus on international organizations, international political economy, or conflict.
Subfields of particular interest include energy politics, environmental politics, finance, trade, and regionalism, but we welcome applications from scholars with any substantive interest.
The appointment will begin in Fall 2014.
Successful candidates should have extensive methodological training (a strong background in quantitative methods or formal theory is highly valued), the potential for excellence in scholarly research and publication, and a commitment to undergraduate and graduate teaching at the MA and PhD level.
Review of applications will begin October 1, and will continue until the position is filled.
Applicants should send a curriculum vitae, short writing sample, statement of research and teaching interests, and three letters of recommendation. Applicants at the associate professor level may send contact information for three references in lieu of recommendation letters.
