The Position: The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level.

Qualifications: Applicants must have an earned Ph.D. degree in electrical/computer engineering, or a closely related field within the applied physical sciences. Successful applicants must demonstrate clear potential to develop an externally funded research program, build a record of peer-reviewed publication, and develop innovative courses.

Technical Area: We are seeking a faculty member with an expertise in one or more of the following areas: computational sensing, modeling, analytics, controls, robotics, simulation, optimization, embedded systems, and high-performance computing.

University and Department: The University of Houston is located in a park-like campus a few minutes from the Houston city center. Houston is a major hub of energy related industries and research. The nearby Texas Medical Center offers leading-edge local collaboration opportunities in the area of healthcare.
