Assistant Professor - Petroleum Engineering - Tenure-Track

Description:

The Petroleum Engineering Program in the Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering Department at the University of Houston seeks tenure track assistant professor faculty candidates with superior skills for effective teaching and pioneering research. The successful candidates will contribute to the creation of a new specialty degree program in Petroleum Engineering to expand the Cullen College of Engineering research activities in petroleum and gas recovery. Although the research is open, we are especially interested in candidates specializing in:

• Drilling and well completions
• Production engineering
• Applications of novel technologies in petroleum recovery and production operations, especially in deep water or for ultra-low permeability reservoirs

Appointment to our faculty requires a PhD in Engineering, Physical Sciences or a related field.
