Assistant Professor - Cardiac Development - Tenure Track

Description:

The Department of Biology and Biochemistry at the University of Houston invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor position in Cardiac Development.

We are especially interested in researchers using stem cell technology and mouse genetics to study cardiac development.

Preference will be given to a scientist whose interests take advantage of existing strengths at UH. The University of Houston has outstanding facilities in DNA sequencing, proteomics, structural biology, and live cell imaging.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. in a related field, an outstanding record of research, and a strong commitment to education. Faculty in the Center are also expected to develop and/or maintain nationally competitive externally funded research programs and to participate in graduate and undergraduate teaching. Qualifications include an earned doctorate and an established record of research as demonstrated by publications and strong potential for continued external funding.
