President Khator's Letters to the Houston Community

Support Your Cougar Football Team

Dear Alumni,

It’s an exciting time to be a Cougar fan. After facing a tough schedule, your Houston Cougars are still a top-ranked football team. But we need you, your family and your friends to help cheer them to victory at Robertson Stadium for the final two home games.

Tickets are still available for both the Nov. 21st game against Memphis, to be held at noon, and the Nov. 28th game against Rice to be held at 7 p.m. You can purchase them online 24 hours a day at UHCougars.com or by phone at 713-GO-COOGS.

With one of the top ranked offenses in the nation in total offense, scoring and passing yards per game, the Houston Cougars, led by Heisman hopeful Case Keenum, always play an exciting game of football. And for these final two games, they have the home field advantage. The Cougars have won 18 of their last 19 home games dating back to 2006. With wins over Memphis and Rice, the Cougars will complete their second consecutive undefeated home season and tie the school record for the most consecutive home wins in any stadium.

A large crowd in the stands can have a huge impact on the game – just remember the excitement earlier this season when a record 32,114 fans witnessed the Cougars 29-28 win over Texas Tech! With a strong finish to the season, your Houston Cougars can provide even more excitement at a bowl game.

P.S. Don’t forget – men’s and women’s basketball seasons are starting. Now is the time to buy your season tickets and help fill up Hofheinz Pavilion!
