President Renu Khator attends as many university events as possible, especially those involving students. From unscheduled walks through the University Center, to classroom visits, to sports events, hers is a familiar and recognizable face around campus. Usually wearing Cougar red – she has declared Fridays as “red days” on campus – President Khator toured all the university’s major buildings and visited all 12 colleges during the first few months of her presidency. She has visited the more than 50 academic departments and continues to go into classrooms during the first week of Fall classes to speak to incoming freshmen.
