Students
applying to the Pharmacological and Pharmaceutical Sciences (PPS) program
may pursue a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics or a Ph.D. in Pharmacology. We
DO NOT offer a Master’s degree in either discipline at the present
time.
Applicants
are expected to have a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Biochemistry,
Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacy or related sciences. In addition, those
applying for the Pharmacology degree track must have taken 3 credit
hours of advanced human physiology and 3 credit hours of biochemistry
before admission or during the first graduate year.
For admission
in the fall of 2008, all application materials must be RECEIVED in our
departmental office by February 1, 2008. We DO NOT admit students
in the spring.
Your application
will consist of two parts:
- Online application on the page https://www.applytexas.org/adappc/commonapp.WBX.,
completed by February 1, 2008.
- Paper items (such as transcripts and letters) mailed directly
to the departmental office (address below), NOT to the central University
of Houston office, and RECEIVED by our departmental office by February
