Postage Chargeback Files on Website


UH Postal Service has provided departmental postage chargeback information on our website since 2005. This monthly information has been utilized by many departments to help in their monthly cost center postage reconciliations. Our last posting to the website during FY09 was in December 2008. During January we began what we thought would be a simple and painless software upgrade to our system. This “simple” process has taken over four months to complete which included a total system crash in January. We want to apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused your departments.

As of Monday, May 18th, 2009, the
chargeback information for January – March will be posted to the website. As with all upgrades there are some changes that need to be pointed out. They are as follows:

• January - the
chargeback consist of the total number of pieces and total postage charged to the cost center. These are the numbers that were posted to the February 1074s. There are no breakdowns by mail classification, such as First Class Letter, First Class Flat, permit 5910, international.

• February and March
chargeback have breakdowns by mail classification and totals for the month. February and March chargeback are posted as individual totals on your April 1074.

• The April – August
chargeback will post at the normally scheduled times.
