This fall, October
24-27th, the University
of Houston and Rice
University will host a
joint TACUP/SWACUMS
Conference. This will be
the 33rd annual
conference for the Texas
Association of College
and University Printers
and the 13th for the
Southwest Association of
College and University
Mail Services. Print,
copy and mail managers
representing Texas,
Louisiana, Oklahoma,
Arkansas and New Mexico
colleges and
universities will be
invited to attend the
conference. We have also
included all of the
local independent school
districts (ISDs) in our
mailings. The conference
will be held at the
University of Houston
Hilton Hotel. The theme
is “Will You Win, Place
or Show in Your Inplant
Race for Success?”
The TACUP/SWACUMS
conference provides an
environment to discuss
the issues and
challenges faced by our
in-plant printing,
copying and mailing
operations. Speakers
will be invited to talk
on important issues that
can help institutions
plan for their futures.
For those of you who
have partnered with us
in the past, you know
the value of networking
opportunities afforded
by these types of
venues. With this in
mind, please consider

the condition of the
economy, we are trying
to keep partnership fees
at a reasonable rate for
all vendors. The
industry conferences are
not possible without the
support of you - our
industry vendors. We
want each of you to know
how much we appreciate

determine the size of
your booth space, the
number of paid
conference attendees and
the amount of
promotional advertising

receive.
