University of Houston Editorial Style Guide
First impressions make a difference. Printed and online publications,
distributed to internal and external audiences, are a vital part of our
image. While we are a mix of colleges and institutes, centers and
programs, we are one university — the University of Houston — and it is
important to show consistency in the way we present ourselves.
This
guide is based upon the Associated Press 2009 Stylebook. Please refer to it for any
questions not answered here. The dictionary of choice is the Webster's
New World College Dictionary, Fourth Edition. University-preferred style
also is included in this guide.
