Security Alert
SUSPECT #1: Black male, approximately 5’10” in height, 20 years old, approximately 150 pounds, short cropped hair. (Identified – Charges Pending)
SUSPECT #2: Black male, approximately 5’11” in height, 22 years old, approximately 230 pounds, short cropped hair. (Identified – Charges Pending)
SUSPECT #3 Black male, approximately 6’0” in height, 19 - 24 years old, approximately 175 pounds, short cropped hair. (Not Identified)
WEAPONS: A Black semi-automatic pistol was displayed by suspect number one. An undetermined black handgun was in the waistband of suspect number three.
VEHICLE: 2002 – 2004 Red Chevy Impala
SYNOPSIS: At approximately 7:29 p.m. on Saturday June 30, 2007 the complainant was involved in a minor accident with the suspect’s vehicle on Scott Street just south of the campus. The complainant’s vehicle and the suspect’s vehicle pulled into parking lot 12A off of Scott Street. The complainant began talking to the driver of the other vehicle. Shortly after the complainant made contact with the driver of the other vehicle several other vehicles entered the lot, pulling up to the complainant’s car. Approximately eight suspects including the suspect/driver of the vehicle involved in the accident surrounded the complainant in the lot and at least two of the suspects showed handguns to the complainant. They took cash from the complainant and removed electronics from his vehicle. When a HFD fire truck enter lot 12A the vehicles fled onto Wheeler with some turning east and some turning west and then south on Scott Street. The University of Houston community was not targeted, this incident spilled over on to the campus from Scott Street. An aggressive investigation is ongoing and many of the individuals have been identified but are not yet in custody. The investigation revealed that only three of the eight persons of interest actively participated in the robbery.
