Starting Salary - $35,193.60/year
$100 per month for 60 college hours or TCLEOSE Intermediate certificate.*
$200 per month for B.A. or B.S. degree or TCLEOSE Advanced certificate.*
$300 per month for Masters Degree or TCLEOSE Masters certificate.*
$10 per month Hazardous Duty pay per each year of service to begin after 1 year of service.

| 15 but less than 20 years | $400 |
| 20 or more | $500 |
* Educational Incentive pay begins after 6 months of employment. Hours and/or degrees must be obtained from a junior college, college, or university accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, or its counterpart in other regions of the nation. An official, sealed transcript is required for the department to keep in the employee’s file if the employee wishes to receive incentive pay.
