Cougar Patrol
The Cougar Patrol are
student workers that assist the University of Houston Department of
Public Safety to provide a safe environment for the University
Community. The Cougar Patrol assists the University of Houston
Police in a variety of ways, such as performing high visibility foot
patrols while in radio contact with the officers and police
dispatcher.
The Cougar Patrol are the backbone of our
security
escort program. The members of the Cougar Patrol perform most of
the escorts for the campus. The Cougar Patrol also provides simple
vehicle assistance such as jump starts and unlocks when
Parking Enforcement
is unavailable.
The Cougar Patrol are paid part time employees of the University of
Houston Department Department of Public Safety. Work Study positions
are available. A wide variety of shifts are available and there is
some flexibility in scheduling.

services page. You must be a current student (or be on summer
break). You must have a current Texas Driver's License and be able
to pass a criminal record check.
