Temporary Parking Permits

Visitors must obtain and display a temporary parking permit when using campus parking areas other than parking meters, gated visitor lots, or parking garages.   These permits are available at the Visitor Information Booths located on Entrance 1 (Calhoun and University Drive) and in Lot         15G (in front of Athletic/Alumni Building), or at the PTS office located in Room 1 of the E. Cullen Building. 

UH Departments receive a 50% discount when purchasing temporary parking permits via a Service Center Requisition.

Parking Meters

Parking meters are located throughout campus   On-street meters have a maximum stay of one hour while off-            street meters have a two-hour maximum.

Gated Visitor Lots

Gated visitor parking is available in, Lot 16F located off UH Entrance 16, and Lot 15G located in front of the Athletic/Alumni Building.  

Conference or Seminar

Conference or seminar representatives should make arrangements in advance for parking in areas other than meters and the University Hilton Hotel garage.    To arrange surface lot parking call 713.743.5854.  Those interested in utilizing the UH parking garage should call 713.743.1097 or send an e-mail to parking@uh.edu.

Parking Garage

Visitor parking is available in on the first two levels of the UH parking garages operated by PTS on an hourly basis.    Departments may purchase validation coupons that can be used to pay part or all of their guests parking.   These coupons are valid only in PTS operated parking garages.  Validation Coupons must be purchased in advance.   Contact a PTS service representative for more details.
