Facilities Planning and Construction Assists In Campus Move In

Facilities Planning and Construction (FPC) has been working to minimize the impact of current construction to our campus during the start of the new school year. Meetings were held with Student Housing and Residential Life, FPC and active project contractors to coordinate construction activities to ensure minimum impact during move-in. There was also an active project walk-around on Aug. 21 that verified all project sites are safe, pathways are open, lights are working, and signs are in place to ensure student, staff and faculty safety. FPC has been working to correct any problems before students arrived on campus. This active project walk-around also provided information that has been included in the construction section on the amenities page of the online campus map.  Select the construction option at http://www.uh.edu/maps/#map-amen  to see construction sites and their impact to the campus community.
