Famis Project Implementation Updates
After the successful implementation of Phase 1 (Space Management), Phase 2 implementation is underway. Phase 2 will be released in 3 tiers:
- Key Control
- Maintenance
- Facilities Assessment.
Currently we are in the process of loading existing data to the test environment where it is configured to match our business practices. Campus Partners (departments outside of Facilities Management) are expected to be engaged early summer, where the necessary training and resources will be provided to users prior to FAMIS Phase 2 going live. FAMIS Key Control will streamline the processes for requesting keys, while Maintenance Management will be used for submitting work requests. An additional benefit offered to Department Business Administrators and/or Certifying signatures will be the ability to generate reports from Key Control and Maintenance Management data. Regular project communications will be released to stakeholders in order to ensure adequate preparation for our partners.
Once an attainable timeline has been finalized, it will be communicated through campus updates via press releases and the Plant Ops website under the FAMIS page.
