Facilities Management is a service-oriented sector of Plant Operations that is structured to efficiently manage the maintenance of UH’s facilities and grounds; including auxiliary groups. The six primary areas of Facilities Management include:

  • Central Facilities Services (Labor & General Trades, Custodial, Access Control & Lock Shop, Auto, Fleet & Equipment Repair, Fleet Coordination, Solid Waste & Recycling, Parking Garage & Lot Maintenance)
  • Minor & Planned Projects (Minor Projects & Renovations Under $4M, JOC Projects, Civil, landscape & design, pest control, and irrigation projects.)
  • Utilities & Technical Services (Electrical, Energy Management & Sustainability, Environmental Controls & Fire Alarm, HVAC Systems & Mechanical Maintenance, Utility Billing & Data Management, and Elevator Shop)
  • Business Services (Work management, Human Resources, Procurement and Resourcing, and Operational Accounting)
  • Planned Facilities Services (POM allocations, Service Level Agreements Management, and Quality Control)
  • Facilities Support Services (Facilities Services Center, Building Coordinator Program, Wortham House, Communications, Asset Management, and CRDM Support)
