Capital Improvement Plan

The Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) is a five-year plan that identifies planned capital projects and land acquisitions, including a schedule and financing structure for each project. The plan provides a link between campus strategic plans and the University’s capital budget.

Having the Plan also helps to schedule projects and define next steps. Having Board approval in advance for the System CIP provides an opportunity to be involved in the planning stages of the project and inform the CIP. This also provides the opportunity to have important discussions about the strategic direction of each institution and capital and deferred maintenance.

For more information about the CIP, please visit the Programs section of the Plant Operations website.

Capital Project Planning Form

The Capital Project Planning Form (CPPF) is an online application where users can submit projects for inclusion in the CIP. This form will be launched in February 2014 and will be ongoing.
