Maintaining Good Standing for the
UH/LU Cooperative Pre-Pharmacy Program

 

  • Continue attending Lamar University

  • Maintain a minimum cumulative UH prerequisite GPA of 3.3 and UH prerequisite math/science GPA of 3.2. GPA will be reviewed yearly at the end of the spring semester. Any grade of a D or an F will automatically make a student ineligible to continue in this program.

  • Continue completing UH prerequisite courses

  • Take the Pharmacy College Admissions Test (PCAT) during the October of the year prior to entrance into pharmacy school. Score a minimum of 60% in each of the 5 areas of the PCAT. For more information about taking the PCAT, click here.

  • Meet with the UH/LU Pharmacy Cooperative Faculty Director at Lamar University at least twice per semester during the academic year.

  • Provide updated transcripts of all undergraduate courses and grades each semester to the University of Houston College of Pharmacy via a signed release form submitted to the UH/LU Pharmacy Cooperative Faculty Director at Lamar University.

  • Remain in good standing at Lamar University. This includes complying with LU's student code of conduct (see page 67 of the Student Handbook).
