Current Resident: Benjamin Casey

ben casey

Dr. Benjamin Casey is a Lipscomb College of Pharmacy Class of 2015 alumnus, who comes to Houston after completing his post-graduate year one (PGY1) pharmacy practice residency at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.

Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Ben completed his pharmacy school prerequisites at the University of Cincinnati.

Ben has a passion for antimicrobial stewardship and teaching. Ben was attracted to this residency program because of the unique opportunities in antimicrobial stewardship at the Cardinal Health and ability to foster his teaching and precepting skills while at the University of Houston College of Pharmacy (UHCOP).

"The top notch preceptors and one of a kind opportunities made choosing the UHCOP an easy decision," he said.

After completing this residency, Ben is planning on seeking a job as an antimicrobial stewardship pharmacist or a clinical faculty member.
