Combined Programs
Please note: Due to the additional academic and/or research commitment required of students in the college's Combined Programs, the college ENCOURAGES applicants to have successfully completed at least one semester of the Pharm.D. curriculum before being considered for admission into the Pharm.D./M.S. combined program but REQUIRES applicants to have successfully completed the first year (P1) of the Pharm.D. curriculum before being considered for admission into the Pharm.D./Ph.D. program. The Concurrent M.S./Residency in Pharmacy Administration program is a post-graduate training program requiring the completion of B.S. in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree as a minimum criterion for admission eligibility.
Pharm.D./M.S. in Pharmacy Administration Combined Program
The Pharm.D./M.S. in Pharmacy Administration combined program is designed for highly motivated and qualified students who are seeking a career in Pharmaceutical Administration and Management. a program designed to prepare students with technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to assume positions of responsibility and leadership. Students will be trained on a year-round basis to afford an opportunity to complete both degree requirements in a shorter duration.
The Pharm.D./M.S. offers two tracks based on the student's program area of interest. The Outcomes Research Track concentrates on the areas of pharmacoeconomics, drug use management, pharmaceutical care, pharmacoepidemiology and outcomes research. The Business Management/Leadership Track focuses on the areas of pharmaceutical marketing, pharmacy management, financial management, managed care issues, health care delivery systems, and outcomes assessment/evaluation.

Pharm.D./Ph.D. in Pharmacology or Pharmaceutics Combined Program
The Pharm.D./Ph.D. Combined Program is designed for the highly motivated and qualified individuals who are seeking an integrated program in the clinical and basic sciences preparing them for a career in academics or research. The graduate will be able to assume a leadership role in and provide exemplary service to a wide spectrum of institutions concerned with health care and/or health delivery. The program's graduate will have the necessary knowledge of a basic science discipline and a full appreciation of the clinical sciences to excel in and act independently in research.
By carefully structuring the combined degree program on a year-round basis, it is possible to complete the requirements of both the Pharmacy Doctorate and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in seven years. Only a select few students will be able to meet the rigors and demands of such an academic endeavor. The degree program complements and not supplants the existing Pharm.D. and Ph.D. programs.
