Course Description:
A structured pharmacy experience in a practice setting stressing
pharmacoeconomic and cost-benefit issues.

Prerequisite:
Fourth year standing in the College of Pharmacy or consent of
the instructor.

- Discuss the changes expected for the future

- Develop a decision tree.
- Describe severity classifications used
in comparing outcomes of patients.
- Develop measurable patient outcomes to
determine the benefits of a clinical service.
- Define the traditional endpoints of clinical
trials.
- Discuss shifting outcomes and why occurring:
Impact on disease vs. Impact on health.
- Give examples of, define and describe
the outcome measurements for:
a. Clinical outcomes

compare Quality of Life for patients receiving different treatments
