UH College of Pharmacy alumni and friends raised $8,200 in financial assistance for Pharm.D. students through the 2014 Golf Classic tournament June 9 at Houston's Wildcat Golf Club. A total of 48 players competed in the tournament, which supports student education through scholarships and travel awards to professional pharmacy meetings and leadership development programs.

"On behalf of the students and the college, I extend our deepest appreciation to our sponsors and players for their generous support for the next generation of pharmacy professionals," said Doug Eikenburg, UHCOP faculty member, department chair and golf committee co-chair. "We look forward to seeing everyone back next year when we return to Wildcat's challenging Highlands course."
