Pharmaceutical Health Services Research Symposium

"Comparative Effectiveness Research: Step Forward to Improve Healthcare Delivery"
The symposium is designed to provide a platform for students and faculty to showcase their research, to learn about evolving research methods, and to exchange ideas with others in the area of pharmaceutical health services research.
Faculty, post-doctoral, graduate and undergraduate students conducting health services research in programs like Social Work, Healthcare Administration, Psychology, Computer science, Optometry, and others are encouraged to attend and/or submit abstracts.
The Pharmaceutical Health Services Research Symposium will be 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. March 29 in the Houston Room (# 251) at UH's University Center.

Abstract Submission Guidelines
Faculty researchers, fellows, residents and students are invited to submit an abstract to be considered for a poster session. The abstract should be no longer than 300 words, excluding title, author's names and affiliations. The content should be organized as follows: Objectives, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.Topics for abstract submission:
- Pharmaceutical Services and Health Outcomes Research
- Pharmacoeconomics and Pharmacoepidemiology
- Quality of Life/Utility/Preference Studies
- Pharmaceutical Care Policy
Abstracts must be submitted online by March 1, 2013, here.
Accepted abstracts will be printed in the symposium proceedings.

The symposium is being organized by the University of Houston Student Chapter of the International Society for Pharmacoeconomic and Outcomes Research (ISPOR-UH) and the Graduates and Alumni in Pharmacy Administration (GPA). Partial financial support for the symposium is being provided by the UH Activities Funding Board and UH College of Pharmacy's Department of Clinical Sciences & Administration/Division of Public Health and Outcomes Research.
