I am a biostatistician health services researcher with extensive experience in academic research, teaching and administrative service. I have worked for many years in the United States’ largest publicly funded federal health care system (Department of Veterans Affairs) conducting numerous studies using national administrative and clinical health care databases. I have a keen interest in the safety and effectiveness of pharmaceutical treatments in everyday use for patients with multiple chronic conditions, and in the statistical methods to improve causal inference in non-randomized studies of treatment effects.
