National Satellite Teleconference: Pritchard, L., Ozburn, W., Perri, M., Francisco, G., Shannon, M., Fink, J., Developed and obtained funding for a nationally televised program entitled "OBRA'90: A Blueprint for Quality Pharmaceutical Care". The program was funded by Glaxo, Inc. The program was broadcast on February 23 & 25, 1993. The program presenters included faculty from the University of Georgia and the University of Kentucky Schools of Pharmacy. The 4 hour program provided ACPE approved continuing education credit to those pharmacists who viewed the program.

State Funding Appropriation: Pritchard, L., et. al., Developed and implemented a proposal to the Louisiana State Legislature and the Governor of the State of Louisiana requesting a $4,500,000 ($1.5M for laboratory renovations and $3M for a new 10,000 sq. ft. research Vivarium) for the State’s College of Pharmacy. The proposal was approved in June 2007 utilizing economic development funding. The new Vivarium is scheduled for completion in May 2009 and will be AAALAC certified.

State of Louisiana Medicaid Contract: Pritchard, L., et. al., Renegotiated the College’s State of Louisiana Medicaid Services contract with the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals to include a new 18.5% indirect cost return rate as well as a three year contract period. Funded for $13,536,883 in June, 2006.

Residency Contract: Pritchard, L., Title: “The Development of Two PGY-1 Residency Positions for the Huey P. Long Medical Center”, funded by the Huey P. Long Medical Center in Alexandria, Louisiana State for $100,000 in June 2006.

Recurring State Funding Increase: Pritchard, L., et. al., Developed and implemented a proposal to the Louisiana Board of Regents, the Louisiana State Legislature, and the Governor of the State of Louisiana requesting a $4,000,000 increase in direct recurring line item appropriation for the State’s College of Pharmacy. The proposal was approved in June 2005.

The network consists of 1,700+ sites (hospitals and managed care institutions) around the country. The UGA College of Pharmacy accredited the program. The program was broadcast on February 22, 1995.
