What is Blackboard?
Blackboard is the Learning Management System (LMS) supported by the University of Houston. "Learn" is the version of Blackboard currently in use at UH/UHCOP. All academic courses at the college employ Blackboard as an adjunct to face-to-face learning.
Students today rely on anytime-anywhere access to course materials. UHCOP faculty can use Blackboard to present a range of course content materials and information, including syllabi, lecture notes, and handouts; to administer online pre-tests, exams and quizzes; for assignment submission; or to hold a virtual class session.
Regardless of teaching style, Blackboard provides a way to deliver course content virtually to students.
