Planetary Science

Planetary science is a research field of exploring planets and satellites in our solar system and in the extra-solar systems. It is an interdisciplinary science field, which involves the various areas of natural sciences (e.g., astronomy, physics, biology, chemistry, geology/geophysics, atmospheric science, and oceanic science). Based on observations, theories, and numerical models, the research group of planetary science in the Department of Physics at the University of Houston mainly explores the atmospheric systems on the giant planets and the terrestrial planets/satellites.
